Bloomsburg Falls to East Stroudsburg in Women's Basketball

EAST STROUDSBURG --The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team fell to East Stroudsburg on Thursday by a score of 59-47. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but was moved due to the winter storm.
The Huskies trailed 30-19 at halftime, then later fell behind by a score of 48-29 with 10 minutes left in the game. But, Bloomsburg staged a late rally and cut the lead to eight, 55-47 on a jumper by Kirby Johnson (Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) with 1:03 left to play. However, the Warriors were able to convert some free throws down the stretch and held on for the win.
Bloomsburg (6-19, 2-8 PSAC East) got 16 points from Gabe Miskinis (Lewistown/Lewistown), while Johnson added 10 with Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) chipping in with eight points.
East Stroudsburg (20-3, 8-1 PSAC East) got 15 points from Jackie Yandrisevits, while Maryellen Onofre added 10 points.
The Huskies return to action next Wednesday at West Chester at 6 p.m.Huskies.
